The power to create significant environmental and quality of life change in the built environment must be primarily driven by owners: corporations, partnerships, and their own self-mandates. There are many owner organizations that want to innovate but lack the time and capacity within the context of their portfolio or asset type and existing business process.
There are also support and funding partners that want to see innovation and synergies are available to create repeatable strategies.
In the short term, the key outcomes are tools, specifications, and knowledge that drive repeatability on future projects within the organization. In the long term the work will serve as an example for policymakers to follow.
